if cross tab report goes beyond one page?

Hello friends,

I designed a report that shows sales of products datewise -

product 1/12 2/12 3/12 4/12 ...
------------------
abc 100 93 94 109 ...
xyz 7 100 56 98 ...
...
...

if i select 2 or 3 months then it shows 90 columns (per day one column) and i can view the report on screen in correct format. But when i send print, it prints product names and some 18 columns only on first page and on each consecutive pages it shows remaining date columns only (with data) and that is also in cut format (half column on previous page and half column on next page)

In a nut shell, is there any setting so that cross tab will work like EXCEL sheet of fixed row / fixed column facility so that on each new page it should print the fixed column.

Since title row is printing on each new page.

Pls advice.

Thanks in adv.

I encounter the same problem and found the solution, I am not sure whetehr this solution is really suitable for your case, but I think it will.

You go to Cross-Tab expert by right click the cross tab that you have created then go to Customised style tab --> go to the grid option --> check the keep columns together and check the repeat row labels option

By choosing these options, the cross tab that you printed will have the row header name and column header names at every pages.

IF Command

Hi All,

I am having a few problems writing a sp for the sales team, I have to display a target figure from a customer dates

start_date target_year1 target_year2 target_year3 target_year4 target_year5 01/01/2004 100 150 120 150 170 01/01/2003 90 20 30 30 30

the start date for each customer is different so the target year 1 ,2 ect will be different time periods.

i need to display the start_date and the target year which relates to todays date:

so no 1 would be year 3 and no2 will be year 4.

any help would be much needed!!

Hi,

To do this you can use case statements.

try this:

select startdate, case datediff(yy, startdate, getdate())

when 0 then targetyear1

when 1 then targetyear 2

.

.

etc

from yourtable

Regards

|||thanks for your help, worked a treat!|||

JMattias

sorry the example was not very good the month my change,

so I would change the yy for month...the next problem is in the selecting between months

select startdate, case datediff(mm, startdate, getdate())

when <12 then targetyear1

when >= 12 and < 24 then targetyear 2

ect..

But this does not work ......

use the datediff statement in every when

Like this

select startdate, case when datediff...... then when datediff..... then etc

Identity Columns on replicated data

CREATE TABLE SALES
(sale_id INT IDENTITY (1,1),
sale_region CHAR(2) )
When replicated, the IDENTITY property is lost. If the Publisher crashed and
I wanted to restore the replicated data off the subscriber, I could manually
edit the table and turn on the IDENTITY property under Enterprise Manager. Is
there another way? I can not find a way to do this with the ALTER TABLE
statement. TIA
The best way is to use a custom script in sp_addarticle to put the identity
property with the NFR clause on the subscriber.
